Engine Test Center
CTDC is a company that is positioning itself with an R&D unit in prototyping, testing and certifying aviation engines on various Bio Fuel blends. The initial testing and prototyping takes place on piston and turbo propeller engines followed by gas turbine (electricity plants) engines and jet engines in the business jet market.

The focus is initially on General and Business Aviation. This market is heavily underestimated and overlooked in size, numbers, volume and commercial and environmental footprints. Only in Europe there are 175.000 and in the world some 500.000 registered General and Business Aviation aircrafts.
CTDC aims in the second phase on bio diesel piston engines and in the third phase on small gas turbine engines of the business jet market.

The test engine crew
CTDC aims in the third phase on the business jet and small freighter airline market for the same tactical reasons as the General Aviation, and secondly because the public psychological acceptance can be steered via the freighter trajectory, launching customer principles understanding it's better for the environment and the consumer’s wallet, and proven to be safe to fly with over a period of time.
CTDC executes prototyping, blending and testing on Airport Twente with the Bio methanol/ethanol/Avgas 100 LL mixtures on two Antanov 2 aircrafts and the Cessna 150.
We chose the Antanov 2 engine as a test platform because it is originally designed for usage of unstable fuels and therefore ideal to work with, until the Bio Fuel is proven stable for mass production and usage.

The test location at airport Twente is capable of testing 4 engines simultaneously while adjusting 4 engines in-between tests.
